The End of an Era

Grand Re-union of ALL Past Students of Nettlebed School

Nettlebed Village School which has served the village for over 70 years, will close it’s doors in January 2006, after which it will be demolished to make way for a housing development.
Present schoolchildren will be relocated to the new school which is being built on the old school’s grounds.

To mark this memorable occasion  a GRAND RE-UNION of all past students , both young and old, was held on
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 4th.2006 in the old school with a visit to the recently completed new school.

The principal organiser Sue Worth, ably assisted by many of her contemporaries assembled a vast crowd of past students of all ages and former staff to come together to celebrate the occasion. Many came from some distance and all enjoyed meeting up with old friends.

Below are some photos taken on the day and a photo montage of the old school.
